The team vary in age range and experience. 

We are lucky enough to have a well established staff team of 19 ladies, with a wide range of experience and maturity. Our newest member of staff has been with us for 6 years and our longest serving member of the team is Catherine who has been the Manager for 25 years. (Sept 2022).

They are highly motivated and carefully selected for their professional abilities and their caring, friendly approach to parents and children. The staff hold the NNEB, B-TEC, NVQ 2, 3 or 5 Qualifications, our more mature members are also Mothers and Grandmothers and have a wide range of life experiences to offer. 

All staff participate in regular 1 hour supervision/progress review sessions with Management.  During this session, children's development and well-being are discussed and staffs own personal development and effectiveness are supported.

At Clever-Clogs a Key Worker /Co-Ordinator system is in place, this means that a named Member of Staff (the Keyworker) is assigned to your child to support their development and act as the key point of contact for you.  The staff in each of the three departments work within a co-ordinator approach, where all  of the staff care for the children, (in case a member of staff is off on annual or sick leave).  Between  them they will ensure that your child is cared for and treated as an individual.  They will help your baby/child to become familiar with the setting and to feel confident and safe within it.

The key person will develop a genuine attachment with your child and will offer a settled, close working relationship to them, as when your child feels happy and secure in this way they will be confident to explore their surroundings, resources and try out new things.

The key person will meet the needs of their children and respond sensitively to their feelings, ideas and behaviours.
